In the peninsula kitchen design has one exposed end and the kitchen cabinet extends outwards at right angles from a row of cabinets. The shape of the peninsula kitchen really gives itself to open plan kitchens.

It is attached to one wall of the kitchen and it includes additional cabinetry without adding a wall. This type of kitchen furniture is best where there is a plenty of floor space but shortage of walls.

This type of kitchen diverts traffic away from the work triangle and it can acts as a room divider.
